One Room Challenge 2017 | Week 6 | Modern-Traditional Powder Room

I have never been so thankful as when they added a week onto this One Room Challenge! Between throwing Lexie’s birthday party (in case you missed that, you can see it here) and a really busy season at work, I’m barely going to make it to week 7! But we are in the home stretch!

My saint of a mom and I finished the wallpaper last weekend and it looks SO good! We had some trouble and it’s not totally perfect but overall it makes such a big impact.

Then my sweet dad came over and installed the light fixture for me. I absolutely LOVE it! It is so striking with the gray in the wallpaper, and I’m so glad I chose it over the white (though that is beautiful too). It is much bigger than I thought and just barely fits even with 9′ ceilings, because it hangs down so low. I think it adds so much texture, and looks more high end than the price tag.

I hadn’t hung the mirror when I took these photos, but let me just say I think this might be one of my favorite pieces I own. It’s so chic and feels extra special with the lucite mixed with brass. I’ve since hung it and it looks incredible up! I can’t wait to show you guys next week.

I also got the artwork hung and the shelf put together, but that was all late last night so I don’t have photos. Basically all that’s left is styling. Well, that and trying to install the cabinet hardware – I am so nervous about that so wish me luck. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that my (second) oushak rug makes it in time from Turkey. Looking iffy at this point but I’m hopeful!
