If there’s one mantra I’ve always believed, it’s that you can have a beautiful home on a budget. Sometimes I think it feels like a Pinterest-worthy home is out of reach, but that’s just not true. Through all my years of blogging, I’ve really tried to show that you can achieve a gorgeous home without breaking the bank.
One place I’ve really enjoyed shopping for affordable home finds lately is Walmart.com. They have seriously stylish finds that fit a real-life budget. That’s why I’m thrilled to be partnering with them on this post. As always all opinions are my own.
From the beginning, our master bedroom has been our peaceful oasis. I love that the base is all whites and neutrals, so I can easily switch out accessories to change the feel of the room. I recently went on a girls weekend trip to a gorgeous hotel and spa, and was so inspired to get that feeling at home. And I was thrilled to be able to find everything I needed from Walmart. You can even shop by style to make things easier.
I was recently thinking back to our trip to Laguna Beach a few years ago, and wanted to capture that feeling as well – sort of California Coastal Spa vibe. So I added this gorgeous olive topiary to bring in that west coast feeling. It’s one of my new favorite pieces in our home!
Since our room is mostly white, it looks best when it’s layered with lots of textures. I was so happy to find this cream textured runner to unite the space between the bed and dresser. The metal garden stool really brings it all together and is my favorite place to set my morning coffee while I get dressed. And did I mention that geometric pillow is under $10?!
If you want that spa feeling at home, here are my top three tips for creating a relaxing space
Three Tips for a Spa-Inspired Bedroom
1. Rely on breezy whites and neutrals to lighten the space and make it feel fresh. Start with white bedding and layer from there.
2. Add a delicious smelling candle to keep you relaxed (eucalyptus, mint, rosemary and cucumber are a few scents that always remind me of the spa). I have one right on my nightstand corralled on a marble tray.
3. Add in spa-inspired colors and textures, like blues, aquas and weathered wood, as well as natural greenery like olive and eucalyptus.
I think this room will keep me reliving girls weekend at the spa for quite some time!

Today I want to share with you a project I had never tried before but found so fun – creating a cheese board! I wanted to create something that felt festive but still understated, so my board is monochromatic in black, white and dark purple. Everything is from Aldi, who I always love for a…
Good morning everyone! I’m back from the Haven Conference and our trip to Atlanta, and I have so much to share with you! I learned so much at Haven that I’m still trying to process it all. From photo styling to photography tips all the way to super complicated tech stuff (layered ads and Google…
It might be freezing outside now, but looking back on photos from this sweet summer birthday party makes it seem almost like warmer days are near. Yes, I am almost six months late sharing about this party, but better late than never, and this one was worth waiting for – it was such a special…
The first everything with a baby is simply too much fun. So far we’ve had the first Halloween (she was one day old), Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and now Easter. Though a 4-month-old certainly doesn’t “need” much or understand what’s happening, it’s still such a joy to shower her with fun little goodies to make…
If you guys have followed the blog for very long, you know that our “hearth room” as I like to call it, has been a bit of a thorn in my side. I love this room for its giant picture window, that it’s open to the kitchen, is very spacious and has a beautiful fireplace…
It’s true! If you follow on social media you already know, Matt and I are expecting a baby girl in October! That is the reason for my long absence…the first trimester was pretty rough to say the least. But I finally feel back to normal and now that we know it’s a girl I am…

Your room stylistic theme won't mirror your improving thoughts except if it is something you appreciate, regardless of in the event that it is snowing outside or pool climate. water bed
In the wake of expenditure numerous years on staff, I got excited with how individuals' lives were changed after a one-week stay at this acclaimed place. I chose to make spa my labor of love, and the mix of development, great nourishment, spa treatments and a psyche/body/soul way to deal with wellbeing turned into an enthusiasm. Also, fortunate for me, the spa business, which was simply arising at that point, was ready for dangerous development. broccoli benefits for skin
