I’ve decided one of my very favorite things is transitioning our home with the seasons. Of course designing a room and choosing the large anchor pieces is fun, but I really love the smaller details that make a home – and a season – special. Changing out vignettes, adding seasonal produce for color in the kitchen, and swapping out pillows and artwork are just a few things I love to do when a new season arrives. Thank you to Serena and Lily for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
That’s why I was so pleased to receive these gorgeous pillows from Serena and Lily, one of my absolute favorite home sources. I love that they created a fresh look for autumn, while still keeping with our home’s neutral color palette.
I hadn’t tried 24×24 pillows on our sofa yet and I have to say they make such a huge difference! The scale is just so good and really elevates the whole room. I’m so happy to have discovered I really prefer this size on our sofa.
I love the subtle plaid of the Blakeley pillow – perfect for autumn!
And the starburst pattern on the Seascape pillow was just too gorgeous to resist, especially paired with a Mayne lumbar.
One of my very favorite things in our home are our Serena and Lily Riviera bar stools. We’ve had them for more than two years now and I
love how they are a classic style, but updated for our modern home.
And I especially love that they are super family-friendly and can easily
be wiped down. Our kids eat lots of their meals here (and they’ve had
the peanut butter and jelly smeared on them to prove it!) but the stools
always look good as new with a quick wipe down.
Here are a few more of my picks from the Serena and Lily sale! Let me know what you score while everything is 20% off!
Some of the best news in a while (and we could all use some good news right now, huh?) was announced last week…Studio McGee is launching a collaboration with Target’s Threshold line! I shared on Instagram stories that I initially had some trepidation…did this mean Studio McGee’s incredible collected modern look would become ubiquitous, like…
Lola Dutch is a little bit much…but she makes for the cutest party theme! For my little girl’s sixth birthday party we had a darling and whimsical Lola Dutch themed party. This fit right in with my daughter’s love of reading and books, as well as all things pink and charming. It was such a…
Another fun kids birthday party is in the books! I absolutely love coming up with creative themes and ideas for my kids parties and this Mickey’s Farmers Market themed party was especially fun! In fact, I’ve had the idea for a farmers market party rolling around in my head for several years, so when Evan…
Well, ok I use that title loosely. I definitely didn’t go all-out for fall this year, but kept things pretty simple (read my philosophy on cozying the house here). But here are a few snapshots from around our home this season. The living room got a dose of texture with a classic wheat wreath,…
It’s finally happening! After a house hunt that felt like forever (although technically it was probably only a few months) and thinking we would never find the perfect house at the perfect price, we found our dream home! It’s a new build, and actually by the builder we were working with before we talked with…
It’s here! I’ve combed the web for the most beautiful, unique and special Christmas decor available, so you don’t have to! The Christmas Decor Shop includes hundreds of curated items from garland and greenery to artwork to ornaments and decor. I’m especially excited that this year’s shop includes a vintage section with some really special…
